NETSIM: A Tool for Material Flow Balancing

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

NETSIM is a tool for the interactive development of wood-pulp production lines and even complete paper mills. A graphical user-interface allows for the design of various aggregates, their placement and interconnection. Selection and alteration of parameters and input data is possible as well as the selection and arrangement of output data according to the requirements. Input data is delivered to a simulation tool which calculates the stationary solution for the various mass-flows in the system. It consists of a meshed system of water, wood-pulp, chemicals and vapor where a set of requirements of throughputs and consistency of the flows have to be fulfilled.
