Project Details
Description
Dust from abrasion and re-suspension in rail tunnels brings with them considerable technical and economic challenges, since systems for energy supply, as well as telecommunication and remote control system, react very sensitively, especially to metallic or electrically conductive dust. These dusts are associated with a high potential for malfunctions or damage, which reduce the service life of systems or increase the maintenance and repair costs. The subject of this research is the investigation about dust and particle emissions, both quantitatively and qualitatively, depending on the train operation. The aim is to gain better knowledge of dust concentrations and composition.
