Description
DC electric vehicle charging stations and the associated charging infrastructure are being investigated with regard to protection against electric shock, general safety aspects and energy efficiency. One focus is on the development of a test procedure for practical use for the periodic testing of DC electric vehicle charging stations in order to ensure long-term electrical safety with regard to the protection of people and property. Furthermore, corresponding charging stations are to be analysed and compared with regard to their energy efficiency in the conversion of alternating current into direct current as well as their concepts for measuring the electrical charging energy.
