S-LAB - Shared Learning between Austria and Bhutan for enhancing Sustainability in the Built Environment

S-LAB will adopt a socio-technical approach to research and teaching which will contribute to the development of three key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 5 and 11) as well as the enhancement of Bhutan’s national development policies and strategies. This collaboration aims to establish a sustainable building laboratory which will serve as a national centre of excellence in Bhutan for education, training, and capacity building in sustainable and resilient construction methods. Once established the S-LAB will serve as a catalyst for further joint research collaborations between researchers in Austria and Bhutan seeking to address global sustainability issues in the built environment.
