Store4Grid - optimized ground basin heat storage for district heating network [Original in Deutsch: Optimierte Erdbecken-Wärmespeicher für Nahwärmenetze]

Large or even seasonal heat storages can help to use the production capacity of solar plants, waste heat, boilers, power plants or other fluctuating energy producers. In Austria there is no practical experience with big storages that store several weeks to months and deliver heat when needed. This project is based on international experience, provides the requirements for materials and technology. High quality design concepts are developed. It presents the possible integration into heating networks technically and economically to each target group.
