SUPRA_2 - Sustainable Production and Assembly of Fuel Cells and Electrolysers

The project "SUPRA_2" is motivated by company partner AVL. Sustainable production and assembly (SUPRA) are critical aspects in the development and implementation of electrolyser and fuel cell technology. The IFT is primarily engaged in use cases 2 and 3 of the project. The main goal is the extension of the current pre-assembly and quality inspection of stacks for electrolysers and fuel cells with focus on the PEM technology. The already used and promising technologies (forming, machining, 3D-printing) for bipolar plate manufacturig have to be evaluated and combine with the most suitable assembly method. The final results will be demonstrated in a new facility "Fuel Cell Innovation Center" based on the existing hardware.
