This work attempts to find values for thermal resistances for the simulation of heating of an induction motor. It was considered to carry out this by solving over-determined thermal differential equations generated by a set of several different measurements on this motor. The results produced by the solving algorithm implemented in MATLABä are shown by a theoretical as well as practical example. The necessary temperature measurements of the motor temperatures are also described.
