Description
In this study, over voltages during switching of compensation coils and possible network resonances are investigated.
In particular, within a substation the positioning of these coils at different voltage levels (24 kV to 220 kV ) are investigated using transient modelling in EMTP and the effects of switching over voltages on the equipment at different voltage levels and reduction measures are studied.
Furthermore, the effects of switching operations for critical cases of network reconstruction after blackout are investigated with regard to the voltage behaviour.
For the different reactor variants (size, position) and switching states on three different voltage levels the network resonances are calculated.
