Ultrakurzzeit-Mikroskop - Ultrafast microscopy for nano and quantum materials

Project: Research project

Project Details

An optical microscope providing femtosecond (10-15 seconds) temporal and nanometer spatial resolution is going to be developed in a cooperation of TU Graz and Uni Graz researchers, funded by the “Zukunftsfonds Steiermark”. The ultrafast microscope applies femtosecond laser technology and aims at the investigation of dynamical processes in novel nano and quantum materials. These materials have high potentials in various fields, spanning from computer technologies to green energy sources.
