Upcycling Fahrbahnplatten - Upcycling of roadway slabs with CO2 storage

In the course of this project, manufacturing and design recommendations for CO2-optimized recycled concretes using an innovative mix of reinforcement technologies specifically for track construction slabs (track support slabs, large area slabs) will be developed. Another focus of the project is the targeted use of recycled aggregates for the production of structural concrete, a so-called "upcycling". The use of recycled materials contributes a lot to the circular economy, but for this to happen, databases and communication networks on quantity and quality must be in place. IBB's task in this project is to quantify hardening-related constraint stresses in this sustainable construction method.
