    Project Details

    Description

An important aspect during the final inspection of car bodies is the measurement of step and gap between adjacent parts such as door and frame. The existing MAGAM sensor is able to simultaneously measure step and gap without contacting the surface. The WAMS project is devoted to the evolution of the MAGAM system based on a new optical sensor (CMOS detector) and a wireless link to the host PC. The project goal is to develop a fully mobile and wireless handheld sensor system that also includes an air-connected high-resolution graphical display.
