xRealize - Extended Reality for Manufacturing Industries

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The project focuses on the realization of extended reality (xR) technologies to support industrial product development, production planning and manufacturing processes in order to leverage the expected values of these technologies. Qualitative goals are increased efficiency, flexibility as well as quality of product and manufacturing processes considering human factors in order to strengthen the global competitiveness. A key enabler for a widespread implementation of xR technology is stated by the product-, factory- & manufacturing-related data provision on demand with real-time capability. Therefore, the development of an innovative data provision pipeline is a declared goal of the experimental development project. A further important goal is the realization and implementation of defined valuable use-cases in automotive/manufacturing industries including training of people/employees with xR.
