Abstract

A data set on the confinement time of the toroidal magnetic confinement stellarator type fusion experiment W7AS has been analyzed in terms of three scaling laws derived from the more advanced tokamak line of fusion research. The analysis suggests stellarator performance to follow closely the well known Lackner- Gottardi scaling.
