Abstract

An efficient method was proposed to calculate equivalent transmission line (TL) parameters in the frequency range from 0 to several GHz. Good accuracy was achieved by a very fast algortihm using homogenization of geometrical and material characteristics. The main concept was the homogenization of the characterization impedance of the cable by averaging the chacteristic impedances of the materials forming the insulation system with appropriate weight.
