Abstract

A review. Modern trends in inorg. and organometallic chem. of main-group elements (Li-In) include radical boron complexes, borylene transition metal coordination, gallium half-sandwich clusters and Group IIIA acetylide self-assemblies. For Group IVA, special attention is paid to low-coordination compds., NHC-stabilized germylenes, silylidyne complexes, stabilized disilyne and pentacoordinated organosilicon and disilane compds. Radical chem. of phosphorus compds. is also briefly reviewed. As a promising hydrogen storage system, ammonia-borane chem. and related metal complexes are described. The review also briefly considers Group IIIA and IVA metal clusters and cluster compds. with transition metal ions. [on SciFinder(R)]
