Abstract

The sensor (100) has a frequency controller (222) coupled with a frequency bridging signal generating circuit (104) to vary a frequency of periodic signals. A receiver circuit (106) is coupled with a set of electrodes (102, 112) to receive frame frequency bridging signals (116, 117) based on a capacitance (Cmess) of the electrode (102). An evaluation circuit (108) is coupled with the receiver circuit to determine a capacitive value based on the received frequency bridging signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for detecting a capacity or capacity change (2) a computer program having a set of instructions to perform a method for detecting a capacity or capacity change.
