Abstract
A framework composite was prepared by growing MOF-5 crystals on ferrite nanofibers. We demonstrated that the resulting superparamagnetic framework composite was used for the sequestration of a carcinogenic molecule (1,2-benzanthracene), enabling the loaded vessel to then be collected and removed from the solution using the magnetic properties of the embedded nanofibers.
