Description
The steel penstock of the power plant Walgau, built in the year 1984 will be in the future part of a new power plant called Lünersee II. This will lead to higher internal pressure in the penstock and increased fatigue loads. Within this project the load carrying capacity of the penstock will be assessed and the remaining fatigue life will be calculated, based on the assumption of 50 and 100 additional years in service.
