Revit - Revitalization

The research project "Revit" deals with the revitalization potential of existing buildings in the regions of Vienna, Lower Austria (selected districts) and the central area of Upper Austria. The need for research is based on the increased demand for renovations and the associated change in priorities in the domestic construction industry, which is currently still strongly focused on new construction. At the beginning of the project, based on a statistical survey, the existing buildings that need to be renovated in line with European and Austrian sustainability requirements will be surveyed. This will be followed by the development of legal and technical principles in the course of refurbishment. The final aim is to develop a suitable business model for refurbishment in the European economic area. In this way, the research project contributes to the further development of refurbishment processes in Austria and should therefore also improve the competitiveness of the research partner.
